Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 28, 2026. This site is operated by Verlin Software LLC. This page explains what data justinverlin.com collects, why, and who it is shared with. Plain language, no dark patterns.

What is collected

  • Server logs. The web server records your IP address, the page or API endpoint requested, the timestamp, and your browser's user agent. This is standard for any website and is used for security, abuse prevention, and debugging.
  • Chat messages. Anything you type into the AI chat is sent to the backend so a response can be generated. Your IP is used in-memory for rate limiting (50 requests/hour).
  • Keystroke sandbox input. The phrase you type into the keystroke demo is sent to the backend so the model can score it. Per-key timing is processed but not tied to your identity.

What is NOT collected

  • No cookies are set for tracking or advertising.
  • No third-party analytics (no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, etc.).
  • No account, email, or sign-up is required to use the site.

Third parties

Chat messages you submit are sent to OpenAI (model: gpt-4o-mini) to generate responses. OpenAI's handling of that data is governed by their own privacy policy and API data usage terms. Do not submit anything sensitive, confidential, or personally identifying in the chat.

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may log requests per their own policies.

Retention

Server access logs are retained on the host for a short rolling window (typically under 30 days) for security and debugging, then rotated out. Chat and keystroke inputs are not persisted to a database by this site after the response is returned.

Your rights

If you are an EU/UK resident, GDPR gives you the right to request access to or deletion of personal data we hold about you. Because this site does not store user accounts or persistent chat history, in practice there is usually nothing tied to you to retrieve or delete beyond rotating server logs.

To make a request, email JustinVerlin@gmail.com.

Changes

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top will change with it.
